Sketch of the Day! BENJAMIN GRIMM

Tony

Today's selection: The Idol of Millions, the Ever Lovin' Blue Eyed Thing himself, BENJAMIN GRIMM. One of Marvel's most classic misfit heroes, and a ton of fun to draw.

8.5" x 9.75, inks (w/ Raphael brushes) and Copic Marker on chipboard.

The original art for this piece can be found over in the STORE.

Cincy ComiCon, Assemble!

Tony

As you all probably know, I am one of the owners and directors of Cincy Comicon. We've got an amazing lineup of guests this year, from Rick Remender to Bill Willingham and Chris Roberson, Eric Powell, Johnny Ryan, Frank Kozik, Evan Dorkin, Cameron Stewart, and Darick Robertson, just to name a few. Pound for pound, the most concentrated room of creator talent you'll find at just about any convention, and at a convention that celebrates comics and creators first.

If you're a fan of comic books & the fine folks who create them, CincyComiCon is the convention for you, guaranteed.

Sketch of the Day! PENNYWISE THE DANCING CLOWN

Tony

The genius of Pennywise's creepiness is his simplicity and straightforwardness. Anything can feel creepy when it looks like a relic from the Dust Bowl, but try making everyone crawl out of their skin using every color of the spectrum at full saturation! With one of the most iconic villains ever-- a simple design that could have been the clown from any kid's birthday party, made horrific by Tim Curry, Stephen King's IT left a real scar on the psyche of an entire generation.

8.5" x 9", inks (w/ Raphael brushes) and Copic Marker on chipboard.
To pick up this original art, just float on over to the STORE.

Sketch of the Day! ATTACK ON TITAN

Tony

After nearly a month on the road, I'm back with a new Sketch of the Day!

Today's sketch is based on the manga/anime mega-hit ATTACK ON TITAN. Been itching to get back to the sketches, and far be it from me to not want to draw a skinless giant.

This piece is 6.25" x 10.25", inks and Copic marker on chipboard.
The original art for this piece is up over in the STORE.

Sketch of the Day! LEPRECHAUN

Tony

Here it is, March 17th. We all knew there was only one way this was going to go down.

Parenting Protip: CAUTION! If your daughter sneezes three times without someone saying "bless you," she must marry an irishman.

This piece is 8.5" x 9", inks & Copic marker on chipboard.
You can add this original art to your treasures by visiting the STORE!

Sketch of the Day! JASON X

Tony

Here it is, Friday the 13th... again! We all knew there was only one way this was going to go down. This time, i drew Uber-Jason from JASON X. If you are one of the people who found this movie's changes upsetting, you take things far too seriously. Also, you may possibly be an idiot.

Thanks for all your suggestions this week, and i hope you all had fun. I know i did!

Our boy here is 8.5" x 9", Copic markers on chipboard.
As per usual, the original art fo this piece can be found over in the STORE.

Sketch of the Day! GODZILLA

Tony

You may have been thinking Harry Potter was a theme this week, but actually the theme is letting my daughter Emmylou call the shots. Today, she was somewhat torn between Godzilla and Godzuki, but we eventually landed on Godzilla.

As an artist, attempting to draw this monster after having read Arthur Adams feels hollow, like a fool's errand, but i did my best anyway, and had fun in the process.

This is piece is 8.5" x 9", ink & markers on chipboard. You can find the original art for it over in the STORE.
