One of my favorite singers and storytellers, Jerry Reed, passed away today, of complications from emphysema. He was 71.

Word has it that yesterday EC maverick master Jack Kamen passed away from cancer. It breaks my heart to hear about the loss of another of my heroes.

Rest in peace, Mr. Kamen, and thank you for what you've given us.
